The Communication Initiative
After nearly 28 years, The Communication Initiative (The CI) Global is entering a new chapter. Following a period of transition, the global website has been transferred to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in South Africa, where it will be administered by the Social and Behaviour Change Communication Division. Wits' commitment to social change and justice makes it a trusted steward for The CI's legacy and future.
 
Co-founder Victoria Martin is pleased to see this work continue under Wits' leadership. Victoria knows that co-founder Warren Feek (1953–2024) would have felt deep pride in The CI Global's Africa-led direction.
 
We honour the team and partners who sustained The CI for decades. Meanwhile, La Iniciativa de Comunicación (CILA) continues independently at cila.comminitcila.com and is linked with The CI Global site.

Ukraine Social Network Analysis Coordination

Hi folks - I wanted to commence this online coordination process. The overall purpose is to ensure that we have one place where we can contribute and review threads on various key elements of this work, highlight ideas and issues for the review and consideration of others, review and update the plan, and access in an organised way for review and comment, the main documents. This is a private space. Only people whom I approve can access and submit. A few comments:

1. I am still waiting for a few people to register, Katja, Anna S and the folks from USAID Ukraine if they wish. But when they do join they will be able to review everything.

2. To contribute and comment you can simply reply by email ... but ....

3. ... if you wish to review a thread or file, or start a new thread (just click on Create Group News) then you will need to log in (when logged in it should hold for a while).

4. The image with this thread is obviously not the one we want! All suggested images to associate withh this space gratefully received.

5. I will commence the postings soon and will add some comments.
